Bathing a newborn is a process that requires care and patience. The following is a standard newborn bath procedure:

Preparatory Work:

Environmental preparation: ensure that the temperature of the bath is 26~28 °C, the water temperature is 38~40 °C, and the temperature of the room where the baby stays after bathing is controlled at 24~26 °C.

Prepare baby shower gel and shampoo, a small soft towel, a large bath towel to wrap your baby, bathtub, water thermometer, diapers, clothes, body lotion

Specific steps:

1. Drain water: put cold water in the bathtub first, then hot water, the water temperature is controlled at 38~40 °C, and the water volume is placed in one-third to two-thirds of the bathtub.

2. Wash your face: Wrap the baby with a large bath towel, wash the eyes first, and then gently wipe the mouth, nose, face, and small ears with a towel1.

Shampoo: Wet your baby's hair, apply shampoo, scrub gently, and rinse well.

3. Check the second stool: If there is stool, please wash the small farts with running water before taking a bath.

4. Enter the bathtub for cleaning: One hand of the adult should always firmly support the baby's head and neck, and put the baby into the bathtub quickly and safely.

5. Wash the front: Wash the neck, shoulders, arms, abdomen, private parts, and legs from top to bottom.

6. Turn over and wash your back: Wash from top to bottom.

7. After washing: Wrap the baby quickly and use a bath towel to absorb the water on the baby's body

Matters need attention:

1. Don't take a bath if your baby is crying severely.

2. If the baby is in the diarrhea, fever and other diseases, do not take a bath.

3. It is better to control the bath time to 8-15 minutes.
